About the Event
Development finance institutions (DFIs) face significant financial risks if they fail to adequately integrate climate- and biodiversity-related risks and opportunities when making infrastructure lending and investment choices. A recent joint report by the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) and WWF-Singapore surveyed some of Asia Pacific's most prominent DFIs active in the infrastructure financing space on how they integrate climate and biodiversity-related risks into their decision-making systems. Despite growing awareness, the report revealed that robust integration of these issues is still incomplete. We invite you to join us for a webinar and lively panel discussion and hear insights from esteemed speakers from the Asian Development Bank, ADFIAP, ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility, Infrastructure Asia, and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero). The webinar will:
- present the efforts that DFIs have made to date with regard to managing climate- and biodiversity-related financial risks in the infrastructure sector, identify constraints and provide constructive recommendations to help overcome these;
- explore the challenges and opportunities in financing sustainable infrastructure in the Asia Pacific;
- discuss data access, standards, sustainability criteria, certifications, and other tools that can send clear signals to countries seeking private investment and to investors.
