Together with GRI, UN-ESCAP, UNEP-FI and ADFIAP, WWF is organizing a webinar series to support knowledge sharing and capacity building across Southeast Asian banks.

The physical impacts of climate change are accelerating worldwide, with Southeast Asia being particularly vulnerable. As governments and regulators issue commitments and policies to shift toward a low-carbon economy, transition risks are also increasing. Understanding how these risks impact banks, and how they can manage them while creating new business opportunities, is crucial if we are to meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Please join our speakers from UNEP-FI and WWF for a practical session on how banks can better identify, quantify and manage climate-related risks, and how innovative financial products can support these efforts.

UNEP FI will present its Transition Check tool, which allows corporate lenders and other financial institutions to quantify the impact of transition risk on their customers and corporate lending portfolios across a wide variety of climate scenarios.

WWF will present its Water Risk Filter, a practical online tool that helps companies and financial institutions assess and respond to water-related risks facing their operations and investments across the globe.
